Both sides of the table.
We have founded and sold startups, and we have run PE-backed groups with hundreds of employees. That mix is what Oficio is built on: understanding a business model quickly and turning it into a lean, affordable system.

Oficio was founded by Matthias Lesch, who has been building and running companies for more than 15 years — as a founder and as a managing director inside large, PE-backed structures.
He scaled Covus in Berlin from two to around 50 employees through to its sale to the ProSiebenSat.1 Media Group, was part of the founding team at Crobo with 100 employees in four international offices, and founded TAB, which went to the PIA Group in 2018. There, as COO, he ran the digital agency division with around 600 employees: restructuring, M&A and sale preparation inside a PE-led group.
He knows a PE investor's reporting just as well as the first version of a product built over a weekend. Since 2024 he has been building AI products, among them OpenCarta and Dentara. Oficio grew out of that work.
Matthias and his team of eight of project managers, developers and back office bring two worlds together: knowing how businesses with hundreds of employees actually work, and the pace at which a founding team gets something new out the door.
